In the 1930s, our company expanded by entering the incoming sector as a Tour Operator, thus beginning to offer complete port and tourist services throughout Italy. In 1947, we became one of the first IATA-licensed agents in Italy.

Today, we are one of the most innovative companies in the sector, thanks to the combination of our extensive experience along with a young, dynamic and creative team, carefully selected based on precise criteria, such as strong motivation and resourcefulness.

Foundation of the company as a shipping house

1930's

Bassani becomes Incoming Tour Operator

1947

Obtains second IATA license

1950's

Provision of services for the first cruise company that called in Venice

1970's

Bassani becomes General Sales Agents for Turkish Maritime Lines

1980's

The company makes investments in coal and container terminals

1990

Opening of the MICE Division

1997

Bassani is one of the co-founders of Venezia Cruise Terminal

1998

First turnaround service for “Grand Princess”, the largest cruise ship in the world

2002

The company founds Turkish Marmara Lines which provides services to ferries sailing from Italy to Türkiye

2008

Bassani opens branches in Trieste, Ravenna and Bari

2009

Bassani is among the co-founders of the Cruise Terminals in Ravenna, Brindisi, Catania and Cagliari

2015 onward

The Group acquires Venice Liberty Travel, International Limousine Service, Blitz Exclusive, Events2B, and International Shore Services.
